What is the Gas Cap RDL on my bill?

Don't worry, this is not us charging for the gas.
The breakdown that you see on your invoice, where gas is mentioned, is a measure taken by the Spanish government to limit the price of gas in order to reduce the price of electricity.
"Capping" the price of gas is an additional cost. It will be necessary to continue to compensate those plants that need to be supplied with gas from international markets to generate electricity. This additional cost will be financed by all consumers in accordance with the regulatory conditions established.
It is an urgent, temporary measure, which applies from June 15, 2022 for the next 12 months (at the minimum it will last until 31 May 2023).
